The monk who sold his Ferrari, The secret, and Autobiography of a yogi...
All these books are related to spirituality and kind of self-development.
I am the kind of person who believes in spirituality, I mean it has been part of my life from my childhood directly or indirectly.
This reminded a memory...from my childhood..as I said I wasn't able to spend time with my grandparents but there were people who were about my grandparent's age who loved me...there was this old woman who was the owner of the house we rented..may age was about 6 or 7 at that time... she was a wise lady, she took care of me soo much... I used to spend a lot of time with her...and there was a community of some people related to meditation/ spirituality...as I said it was always been a part of my life...I heard a lot of stuff like we are not our body we are soul, we are what we think from an age where I wasn't even aware of anything but it definitely influenced me...and at that age of 6,7 where I am not even able to understand anything, I used to ask these kinda questions to that old woman frequently... "what is the purpose of our life?" "Why are we born" I don't know where I heard, or how that thought came into my mind... I strongly have that memory of me asking those questions and she is surprised and trying to answer my question and I don't know how I exactly feel now remembering that memory kind of amazed maybe. I mean that's a question that makes question our whole existence.
coming to those books... basically, I am not that book person, I love reading books, but I never really read an actual book, I mean an offline/real book, those books are those books which I read offline/in real and I met these books at the correct point of my life when I needed them the most, I don't know if they influence me much if read them in future.
Those books made me learn about being grateful/ gratitude, I may not seem like I am grateful but deep down I am really thankful for everything that I have, they say gratitude is the thing that makes you stay grounded and happy, those books made me think differently, in another way they changed my perspective about life, I haven't completely changed but I have definitely changed the way I used to think, books really help you to become a better person. read a book, no matter what book, it helps you in some or the other way at some point.
As i am always a fan of writers, i don't care what kind of writing it is if a person is writing something it must be out of experince, i just really have respect for them, they put exactly what they want to convey into words, it's really hard to do that.
